“I want to tear out your organs and send them to your lover.” –Darkminder
Well, I’m sure he wouldn’t send them to anyone >> He’ll be too busy trying to eat them. That’s right, he eats human organs. Nom nom nom, he’s a hungry little guy XD! Well yeah this was me trying out my painting style on SAI BLERH! I can’t paint for shizzle digitally but it was worth a try, LOL look his body has no lineart D< I decided to paint it quite raw-like so yeah. I was very inspired by a couple of different commissions that I got of Darkminder *points to commission folder on my front page if you want to have a look through*. Yeah I spend absurd amounts on art but SHUSH I’ve been working my butt off so I think I deserve to treat myself every so often. Oh and I gave him that lip to earring thing because I saw it on a piece that was commissioned for me so I thought it would be a great touch! Though he doesn’t usually wear it I would think it’s his style 8D
I like doing flicky hair and especially because its black, I don’t know I just really like doing black hair. Well originally I was working on an art trade and it somehow turned into me getting frustrated and going a bit mad then painting and stuff. Don’t worry that trade will be done in due time, I just finished sketching it out completely actually >w> Will lineart that soon – Oh dear I’m rambling again. But yes, recently in my poll I gave everyone the choice of who I should draw to thank you gaiz for your support especially in the contest that I entered and Jazz and Darkminder came tied so I’ll draw them both. Here’s my Darkminder picture though, I was mainly inspired by Power Shift by Sonic Syndicate >w> I’ve been listening to it on repeat when doing this actually. Plus I love drawing roses they’re so quick to speedpaint which is like why I like doing them, and probably why they look so messy. Plus I wanted to break from this cliché anime style that has been brought up recently in my journals, I want to show you all that I’m not a one trick pony.

Vision
Originality Technique ImpactI think that you’ve captured that skin tone very well and that if there were lineart on the body then it would have ruined it. I find that his eyes are really captivating and you’ve done the lighting just right on them. You’ve keep the lighting source steadying throughout the picture and added the shadows in the right places. Also that you’ve keep the shape and size of the body in order.
Though I think that the hair shouldn’t be as flat, it’s just one colour with hardly any shading, highlights or strands of hair. Also that the left side of his face shouldn’t be as dark, though saying that it does bring focus to his other eye.
Overall I find that this is an excellent piece of art and that you should keep up the quality of this <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="
